Volunteer

Each day our volunteers and staff offer a helping hand to a person who needs a little extra support to remain independent. We have the opportunity to connect in a way that exceeds standard lawn care. We are there to listen, build relationships, and to provide information about resources that may be available to elders who are in need of special services.

Want to Volunteer? Like to work outdoors? Want to help Elders?

Volunteering is a vital component to our success in helping elders to age in place by providing light yard care. Volunteers also offer a quick safety check and much-needed human connection to homebound seniors. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to help as many elders as we do. For many homebound clients, our volunteers are the only person they see on an average day. Your visits also provide a valuable link between the seniors and the community.

Simply fill out our volunteer form letting us know what days fit your schedule and what yard care activities you would like to help with.

Volunteering can be on a set schedule or a one-time activity. Most projects will require a 2 hour window. You will be helping with a variety of meaningful activities to ensure elders’ yards are being maintained.

H.O.P.E. will provide the essential tools for each project. Safety is our utmost concern for our volunteers, appropriate clothing and footwear should be worn for yard care activities.

Our goal is to coordinate projects close to where you live, so you are volunteering in your own community. If you’re unable to volunteer time but would like to support our mission, please consider making a donation to H.O.P.E. so we can continue to coordinate free yard care and community connection for our senior elders

H.O.P.E. welcomes and looks forward to working with the following groups:

  • Business Groups
  • Religious and Non Secular Organizations
  • Youth Groups

“That person who help others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt, a real superhero.”

– Stan Lee

Young adults are welcome!

Kids 16 years or older can volunteer on their own.
